Technical Product Manager, AI

United StatesRemoteFull-time

Staff / Principal Technical Product Manager opportunity on a growing AI team within a large, technology-driven organization. This role will own technically complex products from ambiguous business needs and early prototypes through definition, launch, adoption, and scale, working closely with engineering across architecture, APIs, infrastructure, and AI-enabled systems.

About the role

This is a true product role, not traditional program management.

You will join a fast-growing AI organization with 30+ engineers and significant product ownership. The team is building and scaling AI-enabled products used across the business, and this person will help decide what to build, why it matters, and how to move it from concept or prototype to a reliable product with measurable adoption and impact.

The ideal candidate is comfortable operating between business and engineering, understands technical systems deeply enough to challenge assumptions and evaluate tradeoffs, and can bring structure to ambiguous problems.

What you’ll do

Own technically complex products from early concept and prototype through launch, adoption, and scale.

Translate ambiguous business problems into clear product direction and technical requirements.

Partner closely with engineering on architecture, APIs, infrastructure, system design, and technical tradeoffs.

Evaluate product requests based on business value, technical feasibility, scalability, and strategic priorities.

Develop an independent point of view on what should and should not be built.

Drive 0-to-1 initiatives while also improving and scaling existing products.

Define success metrics and use data, customer feedback, and business outcomes to guide product decisions.

Coordinate across engineering, business, data, and other stakeholders to manage dependencies and execution.

Help shape the roadmap for AI-enabled products and broader digital transformation initiatives.

What we’re looking for

Staff- or Principal-level product management experience owning technically complex software products.

Deep technical fluency across software architecture, APIs, platforms, infrastructure, or distributed systems.

Experience taking products from ambiguity or early prototype through production, adoption, and scale.

Strong product judgment and the ability to clearly articulate why something should or should not be built.

Experience working closely with software engineers and technical teams.

Track record of delivering measurable business or customer impact.

Ability to operate independently in a fast-moving, high-ownership environment.

Strong communication and cross-functional leadership skills.

Preferred:

Prior software engineering or deeply technical background.

Computer Science or Engineering education.

Experience with AI, machine learning, GenAI, or agentic products.

Experience with platform, infrastructure, developer tools, enterprise software, APIs, IoT, or other technically complex products.

Experience in both 0-to-1 product development and scaling mature products.
